TS21500003: The request cannot be started from the Business workplace

Hi,

I've check a lot of messages in SCN and other places and I think I've try all the advices, but maybe I'm missing something!

 

I'm working wit POWL and not UWL, I don't have portal, I work with NWBC.

EHP6.0

EA-HR_MSS: 1.0 SPlevel 8.

 

 

Standard Workflow: WS21500001

Task: TS21500003.

 

The employee submit the absence and when manager try to approve I get the error: "The Request cannot be started from the Business workplace".

 

This error happen on Inbox SAP and in NWBC as you can see by the next images:

I've try the customization on SWFVISU, on Task TS21500003, substitute the DYNPARAM WI_ID=${item.externalid} to REQUEST_ID=${item.REQUESTID}, but stil get the same error.

 

After I've implemented the SAP note 1773641 that give others parameters to the same task but I still get the same error.

 

I've assigned general task to workflow WF21500001.

 

The webdynpro on SE80 it's working fine.

 

On SWU3 the RFC is configured.

 

On Role, in the"Approve Leave Request" I've the parameter LRF_ARQ_MODE with value A.

 

Any ideas?

ESS - Record Working Time - Clock Times Missing and Error Message

Hello

 

We are moving from ITS to Web Dynpro ABAP for Time Management - Record Working Time.  We set the configuration and profile to have clock times entered.  We have encountered an issue in the new web dynpro abap screen.

 

For a certain attendance type we need the employees to enter clock times and save.  We tested and found that if total time was entered without clock times that the error message we had previously in ITS is not appearing in the Web Dynpro ABAP screen.  The error should say, "The time sheet contains errors.  You cannot save."

 

Would anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi.


I am implementing ESS using NWBC.  SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 & MSS Add-On 1.0


With NWBC not is posible use UWL. And for this SAP delivered POWL Inbox.


I am checking this links:

I dont understand that Type action should use if I use NWBC?

E-Separation status change report

Dear All,

 

In the E-Separation process, I don't know that which report has to run so that the Employee status in portal

will change from "In process" to "Completed".

I would like to know,which report has to be run.

Manager booking Training on behalf of Employee MSS-NWBC.

Dear all gurus,

 

I have a requirement like manager should be able to book training on behalf of the employee.

 

Now for the manager, if he gone to employee profile he can do following activities on behalf of the employee.

But there is nothing for a manager to book training for a employee. How can we achieve that.

 

More over in the employee profile, there is an option called upcoming training. But it is showing no data is available.

 

We are using PV7i for book training.

 

Please share your thoughts on this.

SAP ESS ABAP Service links not working

Hi Experts,

 

I am setting up SAP ESS EHP5 with EP 7.3. The overview page is working but nothing happens when clicking on the service links, and this info message is generated for each click:

 

Deprecated scope of type SERVERSESSION_AT_LEAST_ONE_APP_SCOPE is used! Please replace the usage of scopes with new mechanism based on "Cross application session communication API".

 

The permission for root folder and system connection includes Everyone with end user right.

 

We installed all required packages and components as below and assigned a copy of the composite role SAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_WDA_1 to the testing user (with country-specific roles removed except for Canada).

 

Business Package for Employee Self-Service (WDA) 1.50

Business Package for Common Parts 1.51

   SAP ESS 633

   PCUI_GP 633

2. SAP ERP Core Components (SAP ECC) 6.0 with the following extensions:

Human Resources Extension (EA-HR) 605

 

We are running ERP6 with EHP5 and EP 7.3.

 

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi, recently we have done QA server refresfh activity and taken the replica of Production server. Now the issue is after refresh

 

1. Hire form not populating vacancy positions from R/3.

 

2. In MSS Employee search with personal number showing no data found. Could you please suggest?

Add date field/custom field in Leave encashment screen

Dear Experts,

 

Our customer is having a requirement of provide a date for which he is availing Leave encashment through ESS.

We are using Java webdynpro service for the same, as ABAP dynpro service for the same is not available as of now (as per my knowledge).

What need to be done so that on ESS screen date fields are available for entry to employees.

SAP ESS Travel "All my trips and expenses" past 3 month data display needed.

We need to change the duration of the past data for travel application "All my trips and expenses" from past 12 months to past 3 months. This has to be done for all users and only past 3 months data should be fetched by default on screen load for all users.

EHP 7 Upgrade - Impact on ESS MSS - Webdynpro Java

Hi Experts,

 

Here I am seeking some assistance and information for my better understanding on the risk factors for EHP7 upgarde - as of now client is at EHP3.

Since ESS/MSS is webdynpro Java based and now when we are looking forward for EHP7 technical upgrade not functional, we have got concerns on the custom application on ESS and MSS.

Please giude me with the impact on customised ESS /MSS application after EHP 7 upgrade.

We are finding it difficult to understand.

 

I would like to know much more info on EHP upgrade risk factors.

Getting the digital signature in the form-16

by using the t-code pc00_m40_f16 we are generating  employee form-16.

 

form-16 is printing properly but digital signature is not appearing in the form .


can any one please help me on this .

ESS WDA Benefits – Open Enrollment Elections Not Being Saved

We recently moved to EhP6 (portal version 7.02), and I am trying to get Open Enrollment to work in the new ESS.  We have activated business function HCM_ESS_WDA_2.

 

We have always used BN Adjustment Reason “ONOV” to define our open enrollment period.  This not only allows us to control the dates of Open Enrollment but also allows us to control which plans show up in the portal during Open Enrollment.  I am aware of the Define Administrative
Parameters in the IMG under Benefits=>Flexible Administration; however, when I turn this on, I don’t seem to have any control over which plans are presented in Open Enrollment.  In LPD_CUST, I have copied one of the delivered open enrollment apps and changed the value of BEN_EVENT from “OPEN” to “ONOV” (application HRESS_A_BENEFITS_ENROLLMENT).  To save the Terms & Conditions, I have configured subtype “ONOV” in the IMG under Personnel Administration =>Contractual and Corporate Agreements=>Company Instructions, and my test user has an active IT0378/ONOV.  When I use my new link to go through open enrollment, IT0035 (terms & conditions) is presented but does not get saved, and any change that I do in open enrollment does not get saved.  Everything works fine through HRBEN0001 and our old ESS.  What am I missing?  When I use the delivered open enrollment app in LPD_CUST (BEN_EVENT="OPEN"), everything including the Terms and Conditions gets saved but there are more plans presented than what we want during Open Enrollment.  I have also configured the BN Adjustment Reason “OPEN” exactly like “ONOV” to try to control the plans being offered, but SAP seems to ignore my config.

My question is:

 

1. What is the name of form used for this and where is configured?

 

2. I am checking the data of the employee in the infotype 0006 and the information of the Business partner for this employee and have the information.

LSO: System user is booking courses for different user with the same ID object

Hi Experts,

 

I have a problem with the LSO, one unathorized system user is creating booking for other users without authorizations, this increasing the HRP1001 of our SAP ECC RH. One object is affecting this

 

This is happenning with the ET -E-leaning events. When we asking for the user, they told us that only navigate in the course.

Reverse Withdraw Process E-Recruiting.

Dear expert.

 

I am using Manager Self-Service -->Overview-->Recruiting-->Requisition Overview and I need Reverse Withdraw Process for a Requisition.

 

However as the requisition is with Status Finished the system not allow Reverse Withdraw Process.

How can change the status for this Requisition : ?

 

The system only allow Reverse the requisition if this is with status In process.

ESS-Attendance Regularization

Hello Gurus,

 

We have a requirement with the client where the client wants to have Positive time management integrated with Payroll. They already have ESS with Negative Time. They wanted the Attendance Regularization to be there for the employees in the ESS for the deviations (If the overall hours are lesser than 8 hrs per day) with some statuses (P-Present,R-Regularization etc..) so that they can regularize their attendances & it has to be approved by the supervisor& sit in IT2002. They don't have CATS. Please let me know whether the standard ESS can acheive all this or any customizations are required. Till where the standard system can achieve in this & till where the customizations are required.

 

If required, where all the customizations (Objects) are required for the same. Please suggest & the accurate answers will be appreciated & awarded.
